Karangahape Road's Army and Outdoors store is closing this month

Karangahape Road's Army and Outdoors store is closing this month

The unique store has been open since 2004.

Business owner Jason Robinson says it feels like the right time to shut for a variety of reasons.

That includes a shift of customers towards online shopping, a lack of decent parking - driven by Auckland Transport, and a rise in crime and attacks on staff.

The store will remain open online, and ship stock from their Christchurch based distribution centre.
