The saga of droopy streetlights in Wellington has been switched off

Last year, it was revealed the city had 17-thousand LED lamps, with adaptors that could break.
It caused some streetlights to droop over streets and footpaths, causing widespread concern.
Seventeen of the lights fell to the ground, since installation six years ago.
Wellington City Council has confirmed the failing adaptors have been removed - adding the project's 10 months ahead of schedule, and 800-thousand dollars under budget.
