A bit of a rude shock for some Pukekohe residents yesterday afternoon

A bit of a rude shock for some Pukekohe residents yesterday afternoon

Police are alleging a 28 year old man ran through a number of backyards, shedding his clothes as he went in an attempt to change his appearance and elude Police.

He's accused of breaking into a home on Paerata Road using a sledgehammer.

A man was caught after a quick foot chase - items of clothing on, unknown.

He's been charged with burglary and unlawful entry - and will appear in Pukekohe District Court today.
