A setback to start the Rob Penney coaching era at the Crusaders

A setback to start the Rob Penney coaching era at the Crusaders

All Black Will Jordan requires shoulder surgery, meaning he'll miss the Super Rugby season and is due out for six months.

The Crusaders are already without back-up fullback Leigh Halfpenny who has injured a pectoral muscle.

Gold Sport expert commentator John Haggart - who was Penney's former assistant at Canterbury - has reacted to the news.

The Crusaders start their season against the Chiefs on Friday night.
