Woolworths Group CEO Brad Banducci is retiring after eight years heading the company for New Zealand and Australia

Woolworths Group CEO Brad Banducci is retiring after eight years heading the company for New Zealand and Australia

The supermarket giant has recorded a 781-million-Australian-dollar loss, and faces allegations of price gouging and unfair practices with suppliers.

Banducci walked out of and interview with ABC this week - over the claims.

He will be succeeded by Amanda Bardwell in September -- currently the managing director of Woolworths subdivision WooliesX.
