The Wellington Phoenix footballers aren't getting ahead of themselves despite being five points clear at the top of the men's A-League

The Wellington Phoenix footballers aren't getting ahead of themselves despite being five points clear at the top of the men's A-League

The Phoenix have had the best season in their history with only two losses in 18 fixtures - and with nine regular-season matches to go, a home playoff at a minimum is certainly on the cards.

But Nix midfielder David Ball is reiterating that silverware is not and cannot be on their minds.

The Phoenix play away at Perth late tonight - kickoff's at 11.45pm.
