The Crusaders have gone global in their search for a replacement player amid an injury crisis in the outside backs

The Crusaders have gone global in their search for a replacement player amid an injury crisis in the outside backs

The Super Rugby champions are without Will Jordan for the season following shoulder surgery - while Leigh Halfpenny is out for the bulk of the round robin with a torn pec muscle.

First-five Rivez Reihana - who can also play fullback - is out for at least a month after picking up a shoulder injury in the opening round loss to the Chiefs.

Coach Rob Penney says it's a tricky time to enter the player market.

The Crusaders side to face the Waratahs on Saturday will be named this afternoon.
