    In the Bay of Plenty, a motorcyclist has died in a crash on State Highway 30 at Awakeri near the Luxton Road intersection


    The collision between a car and a motorcycle was reported to Police at 5.50pm.

    The road remains closed while the Serious Crash Unit examines the scene.

    Motorists are asked to continue taking alternative routes where possible.
