A move towards increasing child vaccine coverage - by upskilling the health workforce

Pharmacists will now be able to receive funded training to administer vaccines to anyone aged from six weeks.
The decision was made as part of a broad range of efforts to reach our 95 percent immunisation target.
National Public Health Service director Dr Nick Chamberlain says he's hoping pharmacists will take up the opportunity - to reduce some of the accessibility barriers.
Particularly, he says, in areas where rates are lower or where there are challenges accessing immunisation through primary care providers.
