Fears Auckland Council has it's financial priorities wrong when it comes to the long-term plan

Fears Auckland Council has it's financial priorities wrong when it comes to the long-term plan

The 10-year Budget, which includes potential further asset sales, is out for consultation until next Thursday.

Former Deputy Mayor Penny Hulse says Auckland could easily take on more debt and should hold on to assets.

She apologises to ratepayers, but says rates are too low.

Hulse says if we were running a household, we'd be running it into the ground.
