Northland Police say an Auckland woman's breath test - has revealed a staggering alcohol reading

The 36-year-old recorded 2178 micrograms of alcohol per litre of breath last month - more than five times the limit for a court prosecution.

A local found her behind the wheel of her car in Tikipunga.

She's been charged with driving with excess breath alcohol and will appear in court next month.
