    A large bush fire has taken hold in Kawakawa Bay, south-east of Auckland


    A fire and emergency spokesman says crews were sent to Kawakawa Bay Coast Road, shortly after 1 this afternoon.

    Multiple fire trucks, tankers and two helicopters, are working to put out the fire, which is near Raukura Point.

    The fire measures 400 by 600 metres and is on steep terrain.
