Cam Roigard's All Blacks prospects look bleak this year

Cam Roigard's All Blacks prospects look bleak this year

The Hurricanes have confirmed the halfback suffered a rupture of his left patella tendon in the Super Rugby win over the Highlanders.

Roigard's faces the sideline for six months, having undergone surgery in Auckland yesterday.

That rules him out of The Rugby Championship, but has a chance of being ready for the All Blacks end-of-year tour starting in Japan on October 26.

Sam Whitelock's remaining coy on his next move after retiring.

The 35-year-old will exit after the current season with French club Pau , quashing speculation he would resume his New Zealand career.

Whitelock's hinted something new is on the horizon, but at the moment just wants to focus on sunshine and family time.
