For the first time in their history, the Wellington Phoenix will finish the season in the A-League Men's top two places

For the first time in their history, the Wellington Phoenix will finish the season in the A-League Men's top two places

Last night's clutch, very, very late 1-nil home win over the third-placed Melbourne Victory has booked the Nix a semifinal spot.

Phoenix defender Finn Surman forced the 95th-minute match-winner last night - credited as an own goal at the time - and says they deserved the result - as late as it came - and it sets up the run home nicely.

And it seems the Dubious Goals Panel now says Surman did score.
