Top qualifying Supercars driver Anton De Pasquale is hopeful the rain stays away for the Top 10 shoot out ahead of this afternoon's 60-lap feature race at Taupo Motorsport Park

Top qualifying Supercars driver Anton De Pasquale is hopeful the rain stays away for the Top 10 shoot out ahead of this afternoon's 60-lap feature race at Taupo Motorsport Park

The shoot out, which decides the final make-up of the grid, takes place in twenty minutes ...and after scoring a podium finish in the RAIN in yesterday's Race 7, the Ford Mustang driver told Sky Sport he's heading into the unknown in DRY conditions.

Kiwis Matt Payne and Ryan Wood have qualified for the shoot out in fourth and fifth positions...but yesterday's Race 7 winner Andre Heimgartner only managed eleventh in qualifying, and will start from the sixth row of the grid.

The 60-lap Race 8 starts at five past three.
