    A snowy outlook for the lower South Island in the next 24 hours


    Metservice says snow showers are possible in Central Otago, including near Haast pass and Milford road.

    There are also warnings for heavy rain and strong wind today.

    Damaging gusts of 130 kilometres an hour are expected in exposed places.
