Ellie Bird's relishing an unexpected return to professional netball with more opportunities set to come her way in the ANZ Premiership

The goal shoot had retired from the elite ranks after a two year stint in the UK.

Bird's now back as injury cover at the Tactix for Aliyah Dunn - who's sidelined for four to six weeks.

She says she's come back with a different mindset.

The Tactix are away to the Mystics tonight.

    Centre pass is at 7.30.
