Peter Andre's wife has rejected all of his choices for their daughter's name

The 'Mysterious Girl' hitmaker and his spouse Emily welcomed a baby girl into the world on 2 April but are still struggling to choose a moniker, and though the 51-year-old pop star is happy for the doctor to have the final say, she still can't settle on a choice

Peter wrote in his column for new! magazine: "Emily has been making an amazing recovery since the birth... but as I write this we still don't have a name! We were in the exact same situation when we had Millie. We went round in circles for weeks, but it's not until you meet a baby that you truly know their name.

"We don't have long now until we need to register her, so the clock is ticking. I loved Olivia, Charlotte and Athena, but Emily didn't get too excited about those, so they're off the table. It's a big decision!"

Peter - who also has Junior, 18, and Princess, 16, with ex-wife Katie Price and Amelia, 10, and seven-year-old Theo with Emily - is hoping to try a new tactic to find the name that feels right for their little girl.

He explained: "Someone on Instagram told us the best hack when trying out different names, and that's to write it out in a card. So, pretend you're writing a birthday or Christmas card to someone and sign it 'from Peter, Emily, Junior, Princess, Millie, Theo...' and then add the new name at the end. I think that's an amazing idea. Watch this space!"

The 'Flava' hitmaker explained earlier this month he felt it was "fair" to let Emily choose their daughter's name.

He wrote in his column: "We're all in a baby bubble just now and Emily and the baby are doing great. Everything feels perfect.

"We've been trying out names that our friends and family have suggested, but then Emily and I don't seem to agree on them.

"So I think it's only fair that Emily decides - I hope she picks a good one."
