Dunedin City Council is challenging the Government over recent upheaval within the disability support sector

Dunedin City Council is challenging the Government over recent upheaval within the disability support sector

Councillors have agreed to send a letter to newly appointed Disability Issues Minister Louise Upston, requesting a full reversal of decisions made by her predecessor to restrict funding.

Councillor Mandy Mayhem is also requesting an apology to the community, and more fund allocation consistency.

She says they're expressing their displeasure about previous decisions, and they want to get in there to call for the reversal.

Upston recently announced a review of the Ministry.
