The Trade Minister's breaking out the lawyers to settle a trade dispute with Canada

The Trade Minister's breaking out the lawyers to settle a trade dispute with Canada

The Government says Canada's refusing to comply with a ruling over dairy trade, where it breached CPTPP rules by blocking exporters' access to its market.

New Zealand brought up the case in 2022, where a panel ruled Canada had until May 1 to change how it administered tariff rate quotas.

But Todd McClay says its new arrangement has made things more complicated.
