The operators of an Auckland swimming pool are looking at the sequence of events that landed a toddler in hospital, in a serious condition

The operators of an Auckland swimming pool are looking at the sequence of events that landed a toddler in hospital, in a serious condition

A three-year-old boy was retrieved from the water at Mt Albert Aquatic Centre on Saturday afternoon.

The pool's lifeguards performed first aid - and he was breathing by the time emergency services arrived.

A Belgravia Leisure spokesperson says there'll be a thorough review to understand what happened - and where further safety measures can be implemented.
