The 15-day Coronial inquest into the death of a three-year-old in Gore ends its second of three weeks today

The 15-day Coronial inquest into the death of a three-year-old in Gore ends its second of three weeks today

Lachlan Jones died five years ago, found in a council oxidation pond about a kilometre from his home.

Police investigations concluded he walked there himself - his father, Paul Jones, believes he was murdered.

Herald reporter Ben Tomsett said Jones has told the inquest he thinks it was a botched-up police job.

He believes police made mistakes in the investigation the night of Lachlan's death - and the subsequent investigation.
