Defence lawyers have argued a youth did not intend a 28-year-old to die - in a stabbing in Auckland's Beach Haven last year

Defence lawyers have argued a youth did not intend a 28-year-old to die - in a stabbing in Auckland's Beach Haven last year

A 15 and 19 year-old are on trial at the High Court in Auckland, accused of murdering Joshuah Tasi.

The prosecution's told the jury the teens - who have name suppression - stabbed Tasi after a heated road rage encounter and rear-end crash.

The lawyer for the 19 year old has asked jurors to consider the circumstances - their client's intentions, and what was going through their mind.
