The hospitality sector is holding up despite economic challenges

The Restaurant Association's update shows the industry experienced more than a 4 percent increase in the last quarter - with a total of 4 billion in sales.

However, Association CEO Marisa Bidois says general feedback indicates trade is down.

She says it's crucial for policymakers to recognise economic pressures facing the sector, and consider supportive measures to ease these.
