More details have been revealed in a Wellington murder trial of a man who was shot while he slept

Four women are charged with the murder of Rau Tongia, who was fatally shot in the back, while in bed in the early hours of December 20 2020.

A firefighter was the first to arrive at the home, and told the High Court in Wellington yesterday, he will never forget the amount of blood at the scene.

It's alleged Tongia had assaulted his killer the night of his murder.
