The Chinese Consulate General in Christchurch is urging police to step up the search for missing woman Ping Lyu

The 41-year-old-woman is visiting New Zealand, and was last seen on Stewart St in Addington on Saturday.

Detectives and forensic experts have been seen this morning at a cordoned off apartment in a block of flats on the same street.
