Open Justice says the allegations involve three complainants aged 10 to 12.

The man was told to surrender his passport in Hastings District Court today - and has been remanded on bail to reappear in a month.

Bail conditions include not contacting complainants or anyone under the age of 18, and not travelling outside the country.
