    Five people have been arrested following the armed robbery of a Michael Hill jewellers in West Auckland


    The robbery took place at the NorthWest shopping mall in Massey on April 28th - the group were armed with hammers, an axe and a machete.

    Detective Senior Sergeant Megan Goldie, says the group smashed glass display cabinets to take jewellery - before fleeing in a stolen vehicle.

    Police have recovered a significant amount of the stolen jewellery - after executing a number search warrants across Auckland.
