    Police have confirmed they've spoken to a person of interest, in the search for an Auckland man missing for more than six weeks


    Ronny Okeke was last seen on CCTV leaving the Stoddard Road New World in Mt Roskill on April 27, just before 5pm.

    He was charged as part of a record-breaking money laundering case in 2021, although they were later dropped.

    Officers believe an altercation occurred between the man they've spoken to and Okeke on the day he disappeared.

    It's believed Okeke was injured -- but the extent is unknown.

    Police have also found his phone, and are working to extract its information.
