Health professionals are pushing back on confirmed cuts at the Health Ministry

Health professionals are pushing back on confirmed cuts at the Health Ministry

It's confirmed 123 roles are being axed in final cost-savings decisions.

Roles across teams including regulation and mental health are being cut - to be re-invested.

Association of Salaried Medical Specialists Executive Director Sarah Dalton calls the cuts a massive disappointment.

She says the pandemic taught us the need for strategic health intelligence, and good systems and processes.
