    Heather Locklear has paid tribute to her father, after he passed away aged 94

    The 62-year-old actress is mourning the loss of her dad, Bill, who she described of the "love of my life", and said he was the most "brilliant man" she had ever known


    She wrote: "The most brilliant man I have ever known. The bar is oh so high. The love of my life. The few the proud. I love you dad. RIP

    The 'Melrose Place' star also admitted she was suffering from "unmeasurable pain" after her dad's death.

    She wrote in another post: "Losing a dear parent is unmeasurable pain. He lives on through you. May your memories bring you comfort.

    Heather's ex husband, Motley Crue frontman Tommy Lee, was among the stars who paid tribute to Bill.

    He wrote in the comments: "Gonna miss that man and his beautiful spirit! I'm sorry for you and your familys loss Heather (sic)"

    Tommy's wife Brittany Furlan added: "So glad I got to meet him. Sending you all the love"

    'Dawson's Creek' star Mary-Margaret Humes posted: "I remember meeting him when I was with you many years ago ... he was so handsome and kind ... sending love to you and your family today. Godspeed sweet dad. (sic)"

    Heather previously called Bill her "hero" when sharing a video of him to mark his 90th birthday.

    She posted: "Happy 90th Birthday to my hero."

    Bill said in the video: "Happy news that you have brought me today, to be part of your life, all the rest of your life. Happy 90th birthday to each of you."
