An injury scare for France after their opening 1-nil football win over Austria at Euro 2024

An injury scare for France after their opening 1-nil football win over Austria at Euro 2024

Manager Didier Deschamps says skipper Kylian Mbappe has suffered a suspected broken nose.

The 25-year-old went to head the ball late, inadvertently making contact with an opponent's shoulder in his follow-through.

    He's being assessed in hospital.

Mbappe set up France's solitary goal in the 38th minute, which rebounded into the net off a defender.
