It's great news for New Zealand's Super Fund - that AI computer-chip maker Nvidia's risen to become the world's most valuable company

The US manufacturer's worth has topped five trillion New Zealand dollars - toppling Microsoft and Apple from the top spot.

Demand has sky rocketed for the chips to run artificial intelligence software - and the company's value has nearly doubled over six months.

At the end of 2023, the Super Fund had about 800 thousand shares - which are now valued at just under a-billion dollars.
