An eye to the future has earned George Bell his first All Blacks call-up

An eye to the future has earned George Bell his first All Blacks call-up

The Crusaders hooker has beaten out in-form Blues hooker Ricky Riccitelli to make the first squad of coach Scott Robertson's era, for tests against England and Fiji.

Robertson concedes he was looking to coming years.

Codie Taylor and Asafo Aumua are the other two hookers, with Samisoni Taukei'aho injured.

Ten uncapped players feature in the New Zealand Maori squad of 28 to tackle Japan in a two-match series starting on Saturday.

Four former All Blacks are included, including prop Joe Moody, who last wore the jersey NINE years ago.
