Police have stopped boy racers in their tracks, at gatherings across the Wellington region

Police have stopped boy racers in their tracks, at gatherings across the Wellington region

Last night, groups were intercepted, before they could get to the 10 locations to do activities like skids or racing.

69 infringement notices were issued, 2 vehicles were impounded due to license issues, 4 vehicles were seized due to unpaid fines, and 12 were stickered due to compliance issues.

    There was also an arrest.

Police say this operation sends a clear message that this kind of behaviour will be targeted. 06-29-24 1135
