A multi-million dollar home on Auckland's coast has been badly damaged in a blaze last night

Nine fire crews rushed to the scene on Constable Road in Muriwai, just before 10pm.

Fire and Emergency says the property was well ablaze on arrival.

The home overlooking the Tasman Sea, has an Auckland Council valuation of 3.5-million-dollars.

Photos show it has been gutted, with much of the roof and walls burnt away.

A fire investigator is expected on the scene, sometime today.
