England pace bowler James Anderson claims he has reconciled with the notion of his impending international cricket retirement

He has confirmed the powers-that-be informed him in April that he was not part of their plans leading to the Ashes next year in Australia.

Anderson turns 42 this month and will make his valedictory 188th test appearance against the West Indies at Lord's, starting tomorrow night.

Pace bowler Gus Atkinson and wicketkeeper-batter Jamie Smith will debut.
