    A person's died following a house fire in Hokitika last night


    Fire crews were notified of the blaze at the Hoffman Street property just after 9 last night.

    One person was in the house at the time of the fire.

    Police say the fire's being treated as unexplained.

    Firefighters were also called just after 12.30am to a house fire in the Waihopai Valley area of Marlborough - no one was found inside.
