Police are continuing to hunt for those responsible for the death of a man in Auckland's Mt Wellington

Police are continuing to hunt for those responsible for the death of a man in Auckland's Mt Wellington

Emergency services were called to reports of gun shots outside a business just after 10.30 on Saturday night.

A homicide investigation was launched after a man's body was found in a car outside a block of shops on Penrose Road.

Detective Senior Sergeant Ash Matthews says there are indications those involved were known to one another.

A post mortem examination is being carried out - and Police are encouraging anyone with information who hasn't yet spoken with them, to get in touch.
