Three would-be burglars were out of luck yesterday - when they broke into Wellington's Trentham racecourse during a Police Dog team training exercise

Three would-be burglars were out of luck yesterday - when they broke into Wellington's Trentham racecourse during a Police Dog team training exercise

The 15 and 16 year olds were spotted breaking into the Upper Hutt raceway's main grandstand.

The dog-handlers quickly surrounded the building, and arrested the trio.

Instructor Sergeant Josh Robertson says it was a case of right place, right time.
