Air New Zealand's looking over one of its planes after a fire system went off in its Auckland hangar

Chief Operational Integrity and Safety Officer, Captain David Morgan says the airline's fire deluge system was discharged yesterday afternoon.

He says it's believed to be a technical fault, but the cause is being investigated.

Morgan says as a precaution, an aircraft that was in the hangar at the time is being checked over by their engineers.
