Tiger Woods will return for next year's Open Championship - despite equalling his worst effort for two rounds at a major

The 15-time major winner's finished his 2024 campaign at 14-over par - one of many who've been unable to tame the unforgiving links layout at Royal Troon in Scotland.

Woods provided this honest assessment of his six-over second round display.

Woods' fate - though - was nothing compared to major debutant Aguri Iwasak - who carded a second round of 20-over par 91.

Irishman Shane Lowry leads by two at seven-under par - Kiwis Ryan Fox and Daniel Hillier have both just snuck inside the cut line.
