John Barrowman has "scores of young men" telling him they helped them come out as gay

The 'Torchwood' star came out to his parents in 1992 because he feared being infected with HIV but he actually told the world until much later in life, and the theatre star loves being able to help others.

John shared his experience of being one of the first public figures to come out, highlighting how it has positively impacted many young men. He often hears from fans who found it easier to come out because their parents admired him and his openness about his sexuality. John emphasized the importance of living authentically and helping others. He also recounted his own coming out story and how it strengthened his relationship with his family. Despite facing challenges, John remains proud of his journey and the support he provides to others.
