Pressure on GPs is reaching crisis point, according to one industry body

A number of clinics can't take on new patients, with some having to close their doors completely, because of workforce and funding problems.
General Practice New Zealand Chair Dr Bryan Betty says general practice is under huge strain and something must be done to better fund clinics.
He says Heath New Zealand needs to take the issue very seriously and begin addressing funding inadequacies.
