    Four-time Olympic gold medallist kayaker Ian Ferguson thinks Max Brown and Grant Clancy could've done far better in the C2 500 had they actually trained for it


    The Kiwi pair only competed so New Zealand could field a K4 boat, after they failed to qualify the K4 at the world champs.

    They finished 45 seconds behind the winners in their repechage.

    Ferguson says they would've hated performing so poorly.
