Sophia Loren is determined to "live every moment to the fullest"

The iconic actress will turn 90 on September 20, and Sophia has revealed that she's still determined to embrace every moment and every opportunity that comes her way

Sophia told Sette magazine: "Time really flew by.

"In the blink of an eye, my life went from being in front of me to being behind me.

"So I fall asleep every night with the same wish: that tomorrow I can enjoy the present and live every moment to the fullest."

The actress now spends most of her time in Geneva, Switzerland, and she remains very active and engaged with her friends and family.

Sophia - who has sons Edoardo, 51, and Carlo, 55 - shared: "I like to wake up early.

"After my coffee, I check my correspondence.

"If my children aren't with me, I talk to them on the phone. Then I do some light exercise, like a walk. After that, I have lunch and take a nap.

"When I wake up from the nap, I talk to some friends on the phone or someone comes by for an afternoon coffee. I have a light dinner, then I watch the news.

"Before going to bed, I watch a movie or read a book. I spend most of my time in Geneva."

In 2020, Sophia revealed that she still felt like she was 20 years old.

The movie star explained that she wouldn't allow her real-life age to determine how she feels.

Sophia - who rose to global stardom during Hollywood's golden age - told AARP the Magazine: "Sometimes when I say I'm 86, I don't believe it. I feel 20."
