Don't expect the America's Cup to return to New Zealand anytime soon

Don't expect the America's Cup to return to New Zealand anytime soon

That's the call from former Team New Zealand director Jim Farmer KC ahead of the start of the 37th edition of the event in Barcelona.

Team New Zealand opted to defend the Auld Mug overseas, instead of taking a $99 million offer to host the regatta at home.

Farmer believes the America's Cup is Saudi-bound following the event.
