MetService a heavy rain watch for Fiordland from 11pm tonight - the amount of rainfall could reach warning criteria.
It comes as heavy rain and gales for parts of central New Zealand have now eased.
Meteorologist Lewis Ferris says we're moving into a very active period of weather.
He says there's a lot of fronts coming across from the west, which will cause some changeable weather.
