    Police are lifting cordons where a man died in Auckland's Blockhouse Bay, with scene examination complete


    The victim has been formally named as 54-year-old Stephen Thorpe of Mt Roskill.

    The entomologist was reportedly stabbed in a violent struggle on Saturday, in a reserve near the Blockhouse Bay Tennis Club.

    Police are still hunting his attacker - and have been in contact with immediate family, based in Australia.
