    Thousands of mourners have gathered at Turangawaewae Marae in Ngaruawahia on the third day of Kingi Tuheitia's tangi


    The King died on Friday morning while he was recovering from heart surgery... he was 69.

    He'll remain at the Marae for the next few days, with twice-daily powhiri for people to acknowledge him.

    Marae's Scotty Morrison says there's around 3000 people there today.

    He says the Governor General and Te Arawa are on the Marae now.
